Presentation Format Guidelines

Each accepted contribution will be presented at the conference either in a plenary talk session using several slides or in a poster session using a one-page poster. Please find more details on plenary talk and poster requirements below.

Plenary Talk: The oral presentation may not last longer than 15 minutes. After the 15-minute talk, 5 additional minutes are reserved for questions and a discussion. You should prepare a set of slides which you yourself will be sharing via zoom during your oral presentation. Update: If you want to test your technical setup (including sound transmission), we recommend that you create a zoom meeting yourself (free of charge) so you can can test your setup with, e.g., one of your colleagues.

Poster: Please prepare a poster (single page) and submit it in PDF format to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than on 22.09.2021. The posters will be embedded in the virtual conference environment and each viewer/listener will be able to zoom and scroll through the document independently. Basing the poster on common formatting guidelines for A0 posters in landscape mode is recommended. While posters in portrait mode are permitted, authors should know that portrait mode is expected to provide an inferior viewing experience. Furthermore, the submitted document’s resolution should allow for a healthy amount of zooming on the viewers’ computer screens. Update: Gather.Town will use a brower's internal PDF viewer to display the poster. Open your poster in a common browser to verify that the poster file will be displayed as desired.
